It was written by Kanye West, Shawn Carter, Jimmy Campbell, Reg Connelly, Kirk Robinson and Roy Hammond. The song was premiered on Funkmaster Flex’s Hot 97 radio show On July 20, 2011 and was released to the Internet as a way to promote their upcoming album. It samples “Try a Little Tenderness” by American soul singer-songwriter and record producer Otis Redding. The song debuted at number 47 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 on the week ending August 6, 2011.
